Mount Evans

We surprised the kids by taking them to Mount Evans. Mount Evans has the highest paved road in North America located in the front range of the Rocky Mountains. I'm not going to lie, as we were itching up the mountain Jeff and I were both scared. The roads are windy and narrow. We didn't dare look out the side window for fear of getting sick. Deep into the mountain, the more cold it got. I knew it was going to be chilly but not 41 degrees and freezing. We were so cold we only had time to take a quick photo and walk around for a few minutes. This was a big destination spot for the serious hikers. Disappointed we didn't get to see any wildlife but the views are amazing!

Going down the mountain we stopped at Summit Lake which is nestled between Mount Evans and Mount Spalding.

Maddie Girl Lost Her First Tooth

Maddie lost her first upper tooth. Not by accident, she had fell and knocked it out. She was scared and to cheer her up I told her the tooth fairy was going to see her when she went to bed and she freaked! She was scared and could not go to sleep. I ended up telling her that I sent the fairy a message letting her know she can skip our house. She did end up with $5 under her pillow.

Childrens Museum of Denver and Dinosaur Ridge

We had a fun day at the Children's Museum of Denver. It's a fun place for kids to have interaction with different exhibits.

On our way home we stopped by dinosaur ridge and took a couple of pictures.
