8 weeks

I am 8 weeks now and had my second sonogram today and all went well. Everything looks good! Jeff wasn't able to go with me to the doctor but at least I get to show him our first sono picture : ) I haven't experienced any morning sickness just the occasional nausea. Thank goodness!!!! I go back in another 2 weeks for a full checkup. Jeff and I went to Babies R Us and was overwhelmed with all the things we need. And with me being soooo indecisive this is going to be hard!!! Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers!! We will keep you updated.

Doctor Visit

I am so picky when it comes to doctors so when Amy mentioned her OBGYN that delivered all three of her boys I was relieved. My first blood work appointment I wasn't too sure about the staff. The front desk girl was in jeans and a t-shirt and the nurse was in jeans and a tank top. Now, Dr. Shrimer was out on vacation so maybe they thought they could get away with it??? I don't know but it was unprofessional. So lets see if at my next doctor's visit they are in jeans or scrubs. The doctor is back and the girls are in scrubs. Imagine that!! Anyways, I feel very comfortable with Dr. Shimer. She said the baby's heartbeat, the sack and my levels look good. The only thing that concerns me is my progestrone level is at a 7 and the doctor would like it at a 10. Dr. Shimer doesn't seem to be concerned at the moment. She will know further at my next appointment on August 26th. She told me to take it easy and not STRESS!!!!!! I tell the baby everyday to hang in there with me. As of now the baby's due date is April 4th, which is Grandpa Schnitzius's birthday. It 's kinda ironic how I was born on Grandma Schnitzius's birthday and now our baby might be born on Grandpa's birthday.

We are having a baby!

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage. We are having a baby! For the past 6 years Jeff and I have been unsuccessful in conceiving a baby. On Monday, August 10, 2009 I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. That wasn't good enough for me. So Jeff and I went back to the store (and I am sweating tremendously) and bought 2 more tests and both came back positive. I then scheduled a doctor's appt for blood work on Wednesday and the lab tech told me I wouldn’t get the results for another 24-48 hours!! Here I am again taking two more pregnancy tests and both positive. The positive results weren’t good enough to ease my mind. I needed those lab results!!! As I’m driving home from work yesterday, my phone rings, my heart is pounding and my palms are sweaty. It’s the doctor’s office. The nurse is rambling on and all I hear is congratulations you’re pregnant!!! I cried and cried and cried. This is such a miracle and a blessing!!!! Praying for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
